The Memorial Cremation Service
This type of cremation service is usually held later with or without the presence of your loved one’s cremains. The service can be whatever you want it to be including something in a church or something informal in a park or in someone’s home. This option saves on costs, but there may still be some costs associated with the memorial service, depending on what you decide to do. You have the option to have the service at any time and in any location, which many families find helpful in the planning process.
The Direct Cremation Service
Direct cremation is the most basic and cost-effective service. Your family member goes through the cremation process shortly after their death without a service involved. This variation saves money, but doesn’t include a memorial of any kind. That doesn’t mean you can’t have one later.
